Two girls with a passion for decor and design working together to create beautiful things! We believe in being good stewards of what the Lord has blessed us with and hope to help you fill your home with what you love!
A simple, yet fiery treat for the eyes....meet Lovely Lois! This piece was a recently completed custom order and thanks to our friend, Cathy, we all get to see her in her new home! Doesn't she look pretty?
Cathy fell in love with the color of one of our previous pieces (Fiery Fiona, pictured below) and just had to have something like it for her newly remodeled "Girl Cave". The dresser was an old family piece that needed a fresh new look (a little paint, some new hardware and VIOLA!) The room looks fabulous and we really love, love, love the area rug too!!!! Thanks for sharing--we wish you lots of good chocolate, big mugs of coffee and plenty of girl time in your new space!
Here's another teaser picture to wet your tastebuds! This red hot beauty will be at our upcoming craft show in downtown Honesdale, May 19th & 20th!
If you're not in the market for furniture, don't forget that we have many other fun and fabulous creations just waiting to go home with you such as picture frames, throw pillows, chalkboards and wreaths!
Here in the "nest" we're kept pretty busy breathing new life into the "unloved" pieces of furniture we find and it's not always easy to see them drive off in somebody elses vehicle. We do take comfort, however, in knowing that each and every piece is going to a loving new home! Today I thought you might like to see one of the pieces that I just couldn't let go..... Every now and then Stacey and I actually find some time to recreate something special for ourselves and last weekend was that time! I like to call her "Waltzing Matilda".
Here is a picture of Matilda in her "before" state. Not bad, but she needed some work.
When I saw her, it was love at first sight and I new I needed her for my dining room. She did need some work on her back leg, which my husband fixed in a jiffy, not to mention a coat or two (or three) of paint to cover the scrapes, scratches and cup marks. After a coat of Annie Sloan's Soft Wax to finish her off, she was a gleaming thing of beauty and is now proudly gracing my dining room with her presence. It is my pleasure to introduce you to "Waltzing Matilda"!
Don't you agree that she's a keeper? Needless to say, she will not be making any appearances at our upcoming craft shows. There are, however, more teaser pictures on the way of things that will be at the show, so keep watching!
Join us at the "nest" in downtown Honesdale, May 19th and 20th, for the first of several craft shows this year! Here's your first teaser picture! You'll have to stop by our tent to find out what it is........
We've been painting up a storm and are getting ready for one of our favorite times of year! Spring--the season of yard sales, craft shows and new creations! Here's a few pictures of last year's inspired designs...you might remember a few of them....or you may even own a piece or two....
As always, we'd love to see pictures of our creations in their new homes!
Stay tuned for some teaser pics and a list of our upcoming craft shows!
