I love seeing the birds hopping around my yard, the little buds that start to bloom, longer days of sunlight and the fresh colors that seem to start popping out all over (we're supposed to get a nor'easter today, but we won't think about that right now!). How can you not be cheerful! Spring just screams "new life"! <br />
<br />
Spring is also the time of year that we celebrate Easter--the sacrifice of love that God gave us through His son, Jesus Christ, through His death on the cross and resurrection from the dead. While I don't love the commercialization of this holiday, I do love the time spent with family and the traditions that bring us together. My family has always had the tradition of dying Easter eggs, and this year, my husband and I along with my parents, had the privilege of sharing it with our foster munchkins. While I cannot share any pictures of the kiddos enjoying the experience, I can show you the results, and they are terrific!<br />
<br />
We always start by making the "dye"--a concoction of boiling water, food coloring and apple cider vinegar. We made yellow, green, blue, red and purple dye for our eggs.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7qxFcsdrviRuLSJmX7T8Q3idr8jU570YZdZgumDh5WEBPvVcoj1FD6oQpkttAhKpaiP6G8owfRCMyEGI3U5LgQA7fGKnH4bfmYSbp130x4IFPHaXANeM1MQ-4Mpwy00J6AlLCW7DxDVk/s1600/Easter+Eggs+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7qxFcsdrviRuLSJmX7T8Q3idr8jU570YZdZgumDh5WEBPvVcoj1FD6oQpkttAhKpaiP6G8owfRCMyEGI3U5LgQA7fGKnH4bfmYSbp130x4IFPHaXANeM1MQ-4Mpwy00J6AlLCW7DxDVk/s400/Easter+Eggs+1.jpg" width="272" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Once the dye is made, you can either jump right in and start dipping your eggs or get creative with a crayon. We also like to combine colors to make them richer and more eye popping. None of that shrink wrap stuff for us!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh16tPi0O5pokZBhrUuhERNKYYC1UtAz8IbBemY_7Q4NhfemXFhFFgiIDwOMS1Dsq45o5yPrYjTIWMje5XN0L89S0hlevfNcQNkLcB3RgMTAwbXe7yoAG4reWNKXoBRH-pz0n7WcdtXzYk/s1600/Easter+Eggs+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="318" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh16tPi0O5pokZBhrUuhERNKYYC1UtAz8IbBemY_7Q4NhfemXFhFFgiIDwOMS1Dsq45o5yPrYjTIWMje5XN0L89S0hlevfNcQNkLcB3RgMTAwbXe7yoAG4reWNKXoBRH-pz0n7WcdtXzYk/s400/Easter+Eggs+2.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The wax from a crayon will not let the dye penetrate and can make some really cool effects on your eggs. Here's a few of my favorites!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVemdrGRs4Nwv_3qMKVy0HEKvc16QC9D648hJjvvWP4jEd1XM05b2FVgJLqBGU-TRW4n6Eb3Hhh_JGqwXyeKaqOAF0utcz3MvFeZ9vX20X5rLNJ9lDdLtP_V7CD41Ko8MnqyxS8f-uYQY/s1600/Easter+Eggs+4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="342" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVemdrGRs4Nwv_3qMKVy0HEKvc16QC9D648hJjvvWP4jEd1XM05b2FVgJLqBGU-TRW4n6Eb3Hhh_JGqwXyeKaqOAF0utcz3MvFeZ9vX20X5rLNJ9lDdLtP_V7CD41Ko8MnqyxS8f-uYQY/s400/Easter+Eggs+4.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I also like what the dye does to the paper towels, so I took a picture. Isn't it pretty! I call it Easter egg tie dye!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Altogether, we created 18 Easter eggs, while having a wonderful family night of fun. Here's our finished product! Didn't they turn out splendiferously!</div>

I started having second thoughts at the end of my post yesterday, but I'm so glad that I followed through with my spur of the moment project!<br />
<br />
Here's the before pic of the tall white shelf that has been removed and given a new home in a spare bedroom for now...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9xefPmPQ9PQJpOswbc8HsuKCMD7ANLZlfDQE2BYXCm7uxa1QEPHMj7DY9dqh81QRHUMbsllnTY5YEAD7Bky09RUZaEoiCAwKVppCSFcCMWIQGXh0LKJHRp1bKjGDPLiTW9cSrKb-gWOI/s1600/Downstairs+Bathroom+Before+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9xefPmPQ9PQJpOswbc8HsuKCMD7ANLZlfDQE2BYXCm7uxa1QEPHMj7DY9dqh81QRHUMbsllnTY5YEAD7Bky09RUZaEoiCAwKVppCSFcCMWIQGXh0LKJHRp1bKjGDPLiTW9cSrKb-gWOI/s400/Downstairs+Bathroom+Before+1.jpg" width="308" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
And here's the after pic! It's so much more spacious now and I am planning to start searching for the perfect chair, stool or table to put in the corner for some additional counter/storage space. Shucks, I guess I'll just have to go shopping--after all, yard sale season is right around the corner!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-9EGlvpJiDO6RLTZae1lNr7vJjzlHzdxceIidB9cXPqu75n6oPyi99HS8DgvuNOB9LUQOXrivWISLVO6H31PQWOKe_pyhRZCbyUFsIZciyyh9Kp4yfY4NduHNDqfwlD3mEAPUR-Llitc/s1600/Downstairs+Bathroom+After+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-9EGlvpJiDO6RLTZae1lNr7vJjzlHzdxceIidB9cXPqu75n6oPyi99HS8DgvuNOB9LUQOXrivWISLVO6H31PQWOKe_pyhRZCbyUFsIZciyyh9Kp4yfY4NduHNDqfwlD3mEAPUR-Llitc/s400/Downstairs+Bathroom+After+1.jpg" width="275" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Here's the before pic of where the new shelves are now residing...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUVHBixzOx9J3lGFkZZaKlDLouDwK8FvOa2ANvnGdhPRv7sW4JAtTPlchnuzOk_Vn-PSTHaU0DDJtJPYOR1w40VxPv85DhTlRUicfMDsJJB3CZypT6Mw-GIiBQW-Wmb2OxmbXSLbPMauc/s1600/Downstairs+Bathroom+Before+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUVHBixzOx9J3lGFkZZaKlDLouDwK8FvOa2ANvnGdhPRv7sW4JAtTPlchnuzOk_Vn-PSTHaU0DDJtJPYOR1w40VxPv85DhTlRUicfMDsJJB3CZypT6Mw-GIiBQW-Wmb2OxmbXSLbPMauc/s400/Downstairs+Bathroom+Before+2.jpg" width="308" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
And now, drum roll please...here's the after pic of the new shelves! I'm so pleased with how they turned out and I'm sure that I will rearrange them again and again before I'm totally satisfied with the "pretty" part. For now, they will provide a lot of needed storage and function. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I wish that I could give you a better idea of how they look over the toilet, but, like I said, my downstairs bathroom is teeny tiny and I was fortunate to get these shots! My munchkins were laughing at me all scrunched up in the corner taking pictures of the toilet nook! Maybe they were right... It is pretty funny from their perspective!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

I started a spring cleaning regime today that got halted when I saw how open and spacious my downstairs bathroom looked once I pulled everything out of it to wipe down the walls. On a whim, I said to my husband, "wouldn't it be great if we could leave the tall shelf out of the bathroom all the time? But where would we put everything?" The wheels in my head started spinning... distraction strikes again!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg058Gid2KoLYsfFijKpZ7Ha0Pgd8NBAHXo7C8c1p-QT9VEO-8BBtXsm9M89cAFd1gbSo_tC9CKjqh7DW0t3LX26DvfQUBIvSwUpgSZGdJD3GcC5-xt3QQYrkHPdadMiH1gV3-MvK9u5tI/s1600/Bathroom+Before+3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg058Gid2KoLYsfFijKpZ7Ha0Pgd8NBAHXo7C8c1p-QT9VEO-8BBtXsm9M89cAFd1gbSo_tC9CKjqh7DW0t3LX26DvfQUBIvSwUpgSZGdJD3GcC5-xt3QQYrkHPdadMiH1gV3-MvK9u5tI/s400/Bathroom+Before+3.jpg" width="308" /></a></div>
<br />
My downstairs bathroom is teeny tiny and lacks storage of any kind. Our solution when we first moved in was an extremely narrow, tall shelf from IKEA. Here's how it's looked for the past several years. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgN-GIH4s5J9OIZyJCZAvCU85QtpcBudUHwDHbeBzprxvorJ6b0viaMcNvThkJV3aQtk16LwcvT2qzprfiCyD66sVwWG-GarK5BRWbfyEK2DkjJQxb0mqegOcesGaFxNb0VVkjPULRhj2Q/s1600/Downstairs+Bathroom+Before+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgN-GIH4s5J9OIZyJCZAvCU85QtpcBudUHwDHbeBzprxvorJ6b0viaMcNvThkJV3aQtk16LwcvT2qzprfiCyD66sVwWG-GarK5BRWbfyEK2DkjJQxb0mqegOcesGaFxNb0VVkjPULRhj2Q/s400/Downstairs+Bathroom+Before+1.jpg" width="308" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
It has been great and would still work just fine, but I had such good luck with my last shelving project, that we decided to try shelves over the toilet so that we could open up this space a bit.<br />
<br />
After a quick trip to Home Depot for more shelves and brackets, we are ready to let the shelving begin. Here's a before picture of where we are planning to install the shelves. It's a little nook above where the toilet sits. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUu2aDRpDzmY_q3U5fPgBQihmGt7ELzvVmjm-hvPVHKXd0lANT8ZAT6mssz5ttRFqP8UW05ew3Ir0Giunho-rO0NKwc5hLTH3H0QuWa1ML3ZNInYyL7JqPoSvlSjIBHeaVMj-HARZ65Dg/s1600/Downstairs+Bathroom+Before+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUu2aDRpDzmY_q3U5fPgBQihmGt7ELzvVmjm-hvPVHKXd0lANT8ZAT6mssz5ttRFqP8UW05ew3Ir0Giunho-rO0NKwc5hLTH3H0QuWa1ML3ZNInYyL7JqPoSvlSjIBHeaVMj-HARZ65Dg/s400/Downstairs+Bathroom+Before+2.jpg" width="308" /></a></div>

</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
After we took down the picture and little shelf, my (very understanding and tolerant) husband started getting the wall ready for the brackets (isn't he cute)!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

I have to admit that I'm a bit nervous about how it's all going to turn out, but there's no turning back at this point! You'll have to tune in tomorrow for the reveal!<br />

I knew that our project would be a bag/tote of some sort and I jokingly mentioned to Stacey that perhaps it would be this bag DIY that I've been drooling over since I saw it in a magazine a few months ago. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_ZPcUCffwvLmSELm41NmzqYGEV8U3-5asMvC4I5_K1toxVfW0f2aS5Ef5iW-SjJzHSiuCXFStvJEzHbV8sgRulW23GgRygWC50ZoS3hrgGcFvqh4dUbT3Nsw9j_Z0TEZt0G-6B8Yp_C0/s1600/Doily+Bag+Inspiration+Pic.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="376" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_ZPcUCffwvLmSELm41NmzqYGEV8U3-5asMvC4I5_K1toxVfW0f2aS5Ef5iW-SjJzHSiuCXFStvJEzHbV8sgRulW23GgRygWC50ZoS3hrgGcFvqh4dUbT3Nsw9j_Z0TEZt0G-6B8Yp_C0/s400/Doily+Bag+Inspiration+Pic.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I can't remember which magazine I saw it in, but after some research, I found out that it originated from the blog <a href="http://ashleyannphotography.com/blog/2009/11/21/diy-doily-canvas-bag/" target="_blank">Under the Sycamore</a>. Check out the link for a full tutorial on how to create this simply sweet tote! Now back to my story...<br />
<br />
Sure enough...this (above) was one of our inspiration pics and I started getting a little giddy with excitement. Our hostess, Melissa, had all kinds of fabric, paint and pom pom fringe laid out for us to start creating. Of course she also had paint brushes, spray adhesive, canvas totes, sewing notions and other tools to work with. Now, I absolutely love the bag pictured above, but the creative juices started flowing and I ended up creating my own version...<br />
<br />
I fell in love with this beautiful yellow floral Waverly fabric that actually started out as a napkin. The coral fabric was also from the napkin so I used it as an accent for my bag.<br />
<br />
<div align="center">
I created a ruffle and added some pom-pom fringe...</div>
<div align="center">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh392L39CwwmwuuGxOx3sUQJOP7speoUnyfSEgtEAXdpSWyL8-sY98NVTh9XYgu2xGz1g5ouvphsCgg3g7dCVrCAXLmoCXsFii6zXKl7K_IVPDD4QnaxkIeWJq7ahA_tJERNUWGrnF0Yl4/s1600/Doily+Bag+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh392L39CwwmwuuGxOx3sUQJOP7speoUnyfSEgtEAXdpSWyL8-sY98NVTh9XYgu2xGz1g5ouvphsCgg3g7dCVrCAXLmoCXsFii6zXKl7K_IVPDD4QnaxkIeWJq7ahA_tJERNUWGrnF0Yl4/s400/Doily+Bag+2.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Of course, I couldn't forget the painted doily stencil (since that's what caught my eye in the first place) so I held my paper doily down and used white craft paint to achieve the desired effect.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Then I made a fun pinwheel ruffle to set it off...and added some more pom-pom fringe...and a cute vintage button (I added the button when I got home)...</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
And here is my finished product! I am so pleased with how it turned out and I can't wait to start using it. I always have so many things to carry to and from church (music, kiddo papers, Bible, etc...) so I think that I will start using it for that purpose.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Many thanks to Melissa, our wonderful hostess! We had a blast meeting new friends, creating our beautiful bags and eating <a href="http://www.sundaybaker.net/2010/12/funeral-sandwiches-nothing-mournful.html" target="_blank">"Funeral Sandwiches"</a> (check out the link for the recipe). These things are so good that I would lick the floor to get the last drop--not kidding! My only regret is that I did not get any pictures during the day, but there's always a next time!</div>

You know how it can be.... a little like a wildfire. You start in one room and as you're putting something away in another room, you realize that this drawer, etc... needs to be cleaned out too, and then, "Whoa Nelly," you've started a project in every room in your house. I finally decided to take a break from what I'm referring to as my "disorganized organization" so that I can share it with you!<br />
<br />
Before I start telling you about what I've been doing inside...here's what it's doing outside!<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
I do love a good overhaul of all the stuff our family seems to accumulate. The "spring bug" actually struck yesterday (I think the oncoming snowstorm had something to do with it)! My husband had the day off and we decided to make it a project day. <br />
<br />
The first thing on my list (minus the bedroom redo that I'm still in the middle of) was my mud room. This room has become an everything room, including laundry, storage, craft supplies for me and the munchkins, filed papers, keeper of the chest freezer, dog kennel, kitty litter box and much more. It has also been my nightmare because everything that does not have a home usually ends up there. Our home was built in the early 1900's and lacks storage space to the extreme, so, after a trip to our local Home Depot, we created some shelving to help with "the stuff."<br />
<br />
I originally thought that we'd just buy some brackets and a nice long board that we could cut to size and paint. This was going to take several hours of letting paint dry, etc... My husband suggested that we check out the pre-fab shelves in the back and I nearly fell over with relief when I found a wall full of white shelves at varying lengths and a selection of white brackets. We happily left the store with three shelves, six brackets and some screws to attach it all. Best of all, we spent less than $40 altogether and had a gift card to boot! At home, it only took us about an hour to get it all up--what a difference it has made!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjD_O1X2JWrpqRAVnsucB3XU-2wUOw92fr8WI86EBtMJnS3IzwS_W-AQPMdBLCqk3xBRBwwIKlD5keqicZXwXUR5CCv-OuX5FmdIXKE4bHitcNmq01Pc1k3enPbfXw5owU_PgoQEAsOUag/s1600/Storage+Shelves+After.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjD_O1X2JWrpqRAVnsucB3XU-2wUOw92fr8WI86EBtMJnS3IzwS_W-AQPMdBLCqk3xBRBwwIKlD5keqicZXwXUR5CCv-OuX5FmdIXKE4bHitcNmq01Pc1k3enPbfXw5owU_PgoQEAsOUag/s400/Storage+Shelves+After.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
Once I got it all organized, I did have to fight the impulse to run out and buy all matching binders and baskets for the shelves. That would have cost quite a bit of money and even though it would be really pretty, I needed the function more than the aesthetic today. I used bins, baskets and binders that I already had on hand and am quite pleased that I now have a functional storage space for all of my craft items, filed papers, kid crafts and more! I can always get the "prettifying" stuff later on, now that it's all organized! Please note that I already had the tall white shelf on the left.<br />
<br />
Here are some "Before's" of my other organization projects from today...<br />

It's still a junk drawer, but now it's a much more organized and efficient junk drawer. My absolute must haves for a junk drawer include: Scotch tape, packing tape, duct tape, scissors, matches, a candle lighter, a flashlight, pens, pencils, sharpies, safety pins and a pet hair remover roller. I'm always grabbing for one of these items and love that they are all within quick reach. I also find that the best location for my junk drawer is in the kitchen.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
As I mentioned before, I was in the middle of several projects all at once--I'd like to say it's because I'm a super productive person who has the incredible ability to multi-task, but no... it's really because I kept getting distracted. Here's one of my "distraction" projects that started because of the junk drawer overhaul.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLXRCi6FkD-fVIUfyn8o9Pby-Z8lGLR8qPCnOeFp85acZcrwNsjvAivC67fAXCGQBI5WQjdRsBNNmZrqSGGSOapoTpXGSgNEhnGWb9jNtQUlTUQXp5QW2AKmnXiHt155utmNYhu0Mn_oA/s1600/Cord+Box+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLXRCi6FkD-fVIUfyn8o9Pby-Z8lGLR8qPCnOeFp85acZcrwNsjvAivC67fAXCGQBI5WQjdRsBNNmZrqSGGSOapoTpXGSgNEhnGWb9jNtQUlTUQXp5QW2AKmnXiHt155utmNYhu0Mn_oA/s400/Cord+Box+1.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I have all these pesky cords, chargers, etc... that you have to keep for cameras, printers, TV hookups, etc... I just never know where to put them and then I have no idea what their intended use is. I pulled them all out of their hiding spots, put them each in a labeled baggie (I had to ask my husband several times "what is this cord for?"...) and gave them a new home in a bin labeled as such!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Today, my other distractions included making an organized meal plan for the month and prepping food for the next several day's worth of meals, filing and shredding paperwork that had started to pile up, folding and putting away laundry and writing this post (yes, this was a distraction too). It's been a wonderfully disorganized day of organization--which led to getting more things accomplished than I had originally planned. Now it's time to sit back with a cup 'o Joe, enjoy my organized surroundings and turn into a couch pumpkin!</div>

Of course, we headed straight for all of the glorious "antique and picker's find" shops and oh, did we find some goodies! The reason I'm telling you this is because it's the background story for an inspiration piece that I just could not afford to buy, but never wanted to forget... <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYYM5HOkz9EnYYxhPbdgFyhlJh2f-xh0YeJbwOQqxbjY5X1c1SYQnc7FpsWlv1gGisoNnvXIw0viT-RIN_FFVOte8Gk-D-TRN9zbkk_QasJp4v_-yyYdwlPr3LO771mr8NFsQ0-Q8J2Lk/s1600/Topsy+Turvy+Inspiration+Pic.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYYM5HOkz9EnYYxhPbdgFyhlJh2f-xh0YeJbwOQqxbjY5X1c1SYQnc7FpsWlv1gGisoNnvXIw0viT-RIN_FFVOte8Gk-D-TRN9zbkk_QasJp4v_-yyYdwlPr3LO771mr8NFsQ0-Q8J2Lk/s400/Topsy+Turvy+Inspiration+Pic.jpg" width="295" /></a></div>
<br />
This adorable little stool was worn and weathered and oh so pretty. I just knew that some day I would be painting something in it's honor, so I snapped a picture and went on my way. I have to say, this picture really doesn't do it justice.<br />
<br />
Here I am, two years later, finally completing my vision! I refer to them as Topsy Turvy and I think you'll agree that they're worn, weathered and wonderful!<br />

It's still not done, but by golly, at least it's started! I've decided to do this post in 2 or 3 parts because it's been quite the process and it's still not over! Everything is finally starting to come together and I'm really glad that I took my time finding the perfect pieces (I've been a little bit finicky, fickle & cheap on this journey). My inspiration for this project started with an unattainable (because it was way too expensive) comforter set. <br />
<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhA0DQQ6iTsiAJOWJjhF10RELjU4bsJUiDxTsNHtAY3YlhvZWVDM6BEOSsElUfHUxZwPFPczdjkgTH-R9FUWz2wA1xVZIHSN8lmOaFtHHOVmvfDOH-NJFeRvWcCvFl-v70mwn09YdL6Djk/s1600/Echo+Sardinia+Bedding+Set.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhA0DQQ6iTsiAJOWJjhF10RELjU4bsJUiDxTsNHtAY3YlhvZWVDM6BEOSsElUfHUxZwPFPczdjkgTH-R9FUWz2wA1xVZIHSN8lmOaFtHHOVmvfDOH-NJFeRvWcCvFl-v70mwn09YdL6Djk/s400/Echo+Sardinia+Bedding+Set.jpg" width="396" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Inspiration pic of the Sardinia Comforter set by Echo that I would not spend $200 on! No, this is not my new room!</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
Even though I did not like the price tag, I loved the bright colors and cheerful "airy" quality that this set exuded. Thus, my bedroom redo mission has been to make my room look like those gorgeous pictures you see in magazines that seem to suggest that spring is eternally outside your window. <br />
<br />
Today, I began my morning by putting the finishing touches on my "new to me" his and her<br />
nightstands. I had given them each several coats of "Antique White" by Glidden a few days ago, so all I needed to do was give them each a coat of Annie Sloan's Soft Wax (love this stuff) and put the hardware back on.<br />

I was the blessed recipient of a large quantity of doilies from my Grammie when she moved from her house to an apartment. There is some serious history and craftsmanship involved with each one of these beautiful pieces. Most of them have been handmade by my Grammie, great grandmother, friend of great grandmother, etc... I'm so glad that I am able to continue their story in my new room. </div>

Marvelous Madeline is painted a dreamy light gray with lots of distressing and a couple coats of poly acrylic to seal the deal! Did you just pee a little? This beauty is painted with <a href="http://www.anniesloan.com/" target="_blank">Annie Sloan's</a> "Provence" Chalk Paint and is just oozing charm and personality! She is a solid wood piece with gorgeous new glass knobs from Hobby Lobby and lots of fine distressing. We have listed her at $175--please message or Facebook us if you are interested!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I have to admit, that before she was even painted, I wanted to keep her. The only way to make me feel better is to know that she's going to a good home! More inspired designs coming your way! </div>

Snow was falling in heaps and bounds and a cold wind was sending chills down my spine. I heard my mail carrier arrive and went out to get the mail when I saw it sitting there! Could it be? I did not notice any trumpets blasting or cymbals clanging and yet, there it was--my free sample of <a href="http://www.milkpaint.com/" target="_blank">milk paint</a>! <br />

As you know, here at the "Nest", we have a passion for paint and are so excited to have the opportunity to try out milk paint for the very first time! Many thanks to Anne from <a href="http://www.milkpaint.com/" target="_blank">The Old Fashioned Milk Paint Co.</a> for sending us some of this amazing product to sample. If you have ever heard of milk paint or seen anything painted with this product, you know that it does amazing things to furniture. It also comes in 20 luscious, rich colors that you can sink your teeth into.<br />

If you are anything like Stacey or myself, you know the full meaning of decorating on a dime. I've read countless articles through the years telling me that if I have a tight budget I can redecorate my bedroom, etc... for only $500 or something like that. That's all well and good if you have $500 to spend, but that's not me. My goal in redecorating a room is usually trying to spend the least amount of money or none (if possible). Quite honestly, even if I had $500 to spend--I probably wouldn't. Please don't misunderstand--if you've budgeted any amount for an upgrade or redo, go for it and enjoy the process. This post is geared towards those of us who would like to redo something, but can't spare the change. I have come up with a few "Rules" if you will, to guide you along the thrifty but fabulous way to redo your home, room or whatever you need to redecorate on a dime.<br />
<br />
I remember back to my first apartment... the 70's chandelier, the orange fuzzy carpet...sigh! All in all, it was a really cute apartment, minus some of the easy to fix uglies. The walls were painted a neutral cafe Au lait color and the carpet in the rest of the apartment was a neutral brown (the orange fuzzy carpet was in the living room and I actually embraced it and loved it). I moved in with my bedroom furniture, a TV cart, a storage barrel, a trunk, some plastic patio chairs and a really ugly brown plaid love seat. I had just spent four years in college studying Interior Design and thought that all of my stuff wasn't good enough. I quickly racked up the credit card with "new" wonderful things to make my apartment a thing of beauty. What I didn't realize, was that I could have saved myself a world of debt and misery, by just using and redoing what I already had. Instead of buying new (new to me, but used) bedroom furniture, I could have just painted what I had for a new look, scoured garage sales for dishes and decor or just done without for a while instead of buying all of those unnecessary things. It always boils my biscuits when I watch first-time home buyer TV shows and they don't want the adorable house that's within their budget because it lacks granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances (ughhh). This brings me to <strong><span style="color: black; font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;"><em>Rule #1) Don't go into debt for a redo if you don't have it to spend already....use what you have!</em></span></strong> Chances are that you'll still be paying for your "new" stuff long after you've already become tired of it.<br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;"><em><strong>Rule #2) A coat of paint goes a long, long way!</strong></em></span> Stacey and I have built up quite a supply of paint, and we came by most of it fairly cheaply. Sure, we buy paint now and then in specific colors, but we had to start somewhere. We've gone shopping in our own basements for leftover paint, asked friends and family for any paint that they want to get rid of and we always check out the boo boo paint at our local Home Depot. At Home Depot they only charge $7 for a gallon of boo boo (mess up) paint instead of the usual $25-$35 per gallon. You just can't be too picky about the color. We've also mixed our own color if we couldn't find what we wanted. Just make sure that you don't mix an oil based paint with a water based (acrylic/latex) paint if you try this! If all else fails, a gallon of paint is usually still less expensive than buying a brand new or used piece of furniture and it's also a terrific way to wake up the walls in your room.<br />

<br />
<strong><em><span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Rule #3) Another man's junk is your treasure!</span></em></strong> Every year, Stacey and I look forward to the best shopping season...Yard/Garage Sale season. You can find all sorts of goodies if you take the time to look and pick through stuff. The key to getting the good stuff is checking your local newspaper for listings the day before the sale, making a plan and getting there at the beginning of the sale. Don't be afraid to haggle over a price or make an offer. Yard/Garage sales take a lot of work and most people don't want to pack it all up at the end of the day. In most cases, you'll make a deal. If you don't have the moolah for yardsaling, then go shopping in your own home (I know you've got forgotten stuff in your basement or attic). You can also ask "Aunt Marge" or "Grandpa Joe" if they have any stuff in their attic or basement that they'd like to get rid of. Help them clean out and maybe find a few treasures or family heirlooms along the way. Some of my most favorite decor pieces came from my Grandmother's house when she decided to move into an apartment...and they were FREE!<br />

<strong><em><span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Rule #4) Do the unexpected!</span></em></strong> Go ahead, hang that rug on the wall, make a coffee table out of an old trunk or make an old wooden box into a plant stand. The possibilities are endless! With all the how-to DIY blogs out there today, you can easily find how to make that free pallet you scored into a decorative shelf!<br />

<br />
<strong><em><span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Rule #5) Stop saying "I Can't"!</span></em></strong> I'm here to tell you that you can! With a little imagination, a lot of patience and a pinch of elbow grease, you'd be surprised what you can accomplish! Anyone can pick up a paint brush and get 'er done--I find that most people just lack the motivation to get started. I have to say that not everything that I've put a paintbrush to has been successful. Many times I have a vision for something and it turns out to be a horrible monstrosity. That's where the patience comes in. Sand it down and try, try again!<br />
<br />
Happy Redoing!<br />

Blessings,<br />

What inspires you? Is it a picture of a whimsical bedroom, or a distressed drawer on a dresser? Do you get giddy over throw pillows and paint finishes? Stacey and I took a trip to one of our favorite inspiration stores today....<a href="http://www.hobbylobby.com/" target="_blank">Hobby Lobby</a>. The entire store is droolworthy and we could easily get lost for hours in the aisles of awesomeness--this being said, one of our most favorite aisles for inspiration is the knob aisle. They have an amazing supply of colorful, gorgeous knobs (not your average Home Depot variety), AND TODAY THEY WERE 50% OFF!!!!!!! SCORE!!!!! Here's a sampling of our haul.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
We could barely contain ourselves....oh the furniture we will create! Honestly, knobs are as to furniture as shoes are to an outfit. You can create a look based on a knob or finish a look with the perfect knob. By the way, did you notice that we really love knobs?</div>

Do you completely avoid trips down to your basement? Is your guest room really a storage room? Do you still have storage bins of clothes waiting for you to "fit" into them again? Are you overwhelmed? I could go on and on about how much stuff gets accumulated over years and years of saying, "but I might need that one day." NO MORE! This year Stacey and I started out with complete home "detox's". Our new motto is "if you don't use it--lose it!"<br />
<br />
One of our detox projects included getting rid of our storage unit (and the rent) and storing it in Stacey's basement. Of course, we decided to do all of this two days before the end of the month to avoid having to renew our lease. What were we thinking..... Let the adventure begin! In order for our plan to succeed, there were several things that needed to happen. Stacey had boxes and bags full of donation items that needed to get from her basement to a local thrift shop. I also took advantage of the donation run and put all my boxes and bags in the mix as well. <br />
<br />
Day 1 (of 2) found us loading stuff into our vehicles (minivan and jeep). They were packed so tight that I'm not sure how we fit ourselves and the kids inside. As we started to unload our goods, one of the ladies at the thrift shop made the comment that they were going to need a bigger store. Hmmmm..... <br />
<br />
Day 2 (of 2) we rented a U-Haul (totally worth the $36.00 we paid for the day) and the two of us spent an entire day moving what seemed like endless pieces of furniture from our storage unit to Stacey's now cleaned out basement. Here's a picture of the last few pieces getting unloaded from the truck. Originally, we planned to use my minivan to accomplish this task (we'd probably still be unloading to this day). All in all it only took us two trips with the U-Haul to get the storage unit cleaned out and we were even able to use the truck to donate a few pieces to our local Salvation Army (trust us, there was just no hope for some of them). Moving furniture is not for the faint of heart! We had quite a few not so graceful moments (most of them mine) and a lot of "are we insane?" moments. Fortunately there was also a lot of laughter and fun as well.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidd_VC8N6sDnDXkitM_uIbtVIqGY37qkHXBOF9VIhQUtCtRc3vFKl179L-scms2hChMoANLes4JB13ZrqGeEpBAeTPVW1H2QI_q1LCG-LOcN3ISX9d6q7T_aKjPgoF3RotI4FZxnz3cB0/s1600/TBN+Moving+Day.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="210" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidd_VC8N6sDnDXkitM_uIbtVIqGY37qkHXBOF9VIhQUtCtRc3vFKl179L-scms2hChMoANLes4JB13ZrqGeEpBAeTPVW1H2QI_q1LCG-LOcN3ISX9d6q7T_aKjPgoF3RotI4FZxnz3cB0/s320/TBN+Moving+Day.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
As many of you have previously read, we have been looking for the perfect workspace to accomplish our furniture re-do's (and sometimes re-don'ts). What we didn't realize was the perfect little space right under our noses. With a lot of elbow grease and a lot of de-cluttering, donating and determination (on Stacey's part since it is her basement), we have honed out a sweet little workshop for all the wonderful things to come, as well as our new storage space. We even installed hooks in the ceiling for all of the chairs that we keep stockpiling. We now lovingly refer to it as the "Chair Closet". <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwSDdKLXoAimVf-W6FdbLR2ZB_ymK956Gqc2U2oeFgHQoMEwGUlDkIsLQQ7p1JIfMKw2Tq15rXAnyRq5P49iyLocWBo_tujNSdIyjmCGFpzHHbEZ81PnoToE_y2lQOD3BXZofq9s-3vSk/s1600/Chair+Closet.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwSDdKLXoAimVf-W6FdbLR2ZB_ymK956Gqc2U2oeFgHQoMEwGUlDkIsLQQ7p1JIfMKw2Tq15rXAnyRq5P49iyLocWBo_tujNSdIyjmCGFpzHHbEZ81PnoToE_y2lQOD3BXZofq9s-3vSk/s320/Chair+Closet.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
You'll have to forgive the picture quality. It's a bit dark 'cause we're still working on lighting solutions. After all, organization awesomeness doesn't just happen overnight.<br />
<br />
There is still a lot to be done, but we've gotten a great start so far and had a few adventures along the way. Working together certainly made all the difference (that and several pots of coffee!). I think Mary Poppins said it best--"Just a spoon full of sugar helps the medicine go down...".<br />
<br />
And the moral of today's story... Don't let clutter rule your roost! <br />
<br />
Wishing you a blessed day! <br />

Watch out 2013....here we come!</div>
Megan and Staceyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09046686334098276251noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-244373631151323983.post-58353712748479574962012-12-27T12:08:00.000-05:002012-12-27T12:08:42.873-05:00The Aftermath of Christmas...What Now?If your house looks anything like mine, then it looks like a Christmas bomb has gone off in your house. From the scraps and piles of used wrapping paper still strewn here and there, to the boxes of packaging that come with each and every toy (seriously, do they really have to tape every strand of My Little Pony hair to keep it perfectly in place???), I am a bit overwhelmed with trying to keep my sanity as I wade through all the debris. Yes, I am showing you a picture of some of the mess at my house. (Please note: this is only a <u>small</u> portion of leftover wrapping paper!)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxDj5gNefCCPIlrZcWuHeFcS0XAc61rJhYskxRlX5uGb9F6l3Hsde4QgxUbKZGEJ94zwrOLM3fTb5bjy3F_eR9F-zsGUPLbnUovICpYK6yLLIupeg-iWVYAYSVXZjrScOD0vsxx3XHdpQ/s1600/Christmas+Debris.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxDj5gNefCCPIlrZcWuHeFcS0XAc61rJhYskxRlX5uGb9F6l3Hsde4QgxUbKZGEJ94zwrOLM3fTb5bjy3F_eR9F-zsGUPLbnUovICpYK6yLLIupeg-iWVYAYSVXZjrScOD0vsxx3XHdpQ/s320/Christmas+Debris.jpg" width="211" /></a></div>
<br />
To top it all off, the kids are home for an entire week and, of course, don't know what to do with themselves. It's not like they just received a ton a presents (a bit of sarcasm here). You would think that they would be contentedly playing with all their new treasures, but NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! All I have been hearing for the past two days is "what now"? Here are a few ideas to help the next few days go by without a case of the "What Now's". <br />
<br />
<strong>Make a play date with friends!</strong> I'm sure that you're not the only one out there with kids who have not a clue what to do with their free time. Call up some friends and invite them over (or better yet, see if they can go over to someone else's house). Sure your house will be a bit chaotic, but they will play with each other and have a great time while you get to work on some of the mess.<br />
<br />
<strong>Send the kids outside!</strong> We just recieved a huge snowfall and the kids are chomping at the bit to get out there in all the lovely soft stuff. Grab the snowsuits and head outside for some snowman making, sleigh riding fun. If you didn't get any snow, there is still so much to do (sidewalk chalk, bike riding, hula hooping...). This is also a great way for the kids to expell some pent up energy.<br />
<br />
<strong>Make a craft!</strong> My kids got so many Crayola and crafting kits from well meaning family members, that I was a bit overwhelmed thinking about all the little parts, glitter and glueing things together that would ensue. Of course, they wanted to do all of them right away. My solution..... a craft a day for their entire Christmas break. That way we tackle them one by one and it gives them something to look forward to each day. Even if you didn't get crafting kits, here are some easy craft ideas that use things you might already have at home! <br />

<strong>Make a graham cracker gingerbread house!</strong> No baking required! <a href="http://pbskids.org/zoom/activities/cafe/grahamcrackergingerb.html" target="_blank">PBS Kids</a> has a great tutorial on how to put these little cuties together. The best part.....you can eat it when you're done (after snapping a few pictures of course!)</div>

<strong>Make a brown paper bag puppet!</strong> The sky is the limit for these terrific creatures. Make them into an animal/monster/alien/person....the possibilities are endless! What you'll need may depend on what kind of creature you're making. My kids used markers, crayons, stickers, ribbon, scissors, glue sticks construction paper and scrapbook paper. Just don't forget to put the mouth on the correct flap of the bag or your mouth won't move. After they're finished creating, they can put on a puppet show for you and all of their stuffed animals.</div>

<strong>Bake something!</strong> Grab some ingredients, tie on the aprons and try out that new recipe that you've been waiting to create--just make sure that it's not too complicated for little hands. There is something for everyone to do and the end result is yummy! I know that you probably have endless baked goods lying around at this time of year, but you can always freeze these for another time (after sampling some of course!). Here is our favorite recipe to bake together: "Megan's Favorite Chocolate Chip Cookies" Preheat oven to 400 degrees. You will need:</div>
</li>
</ul>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
2 1/4 cups flour</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1 tsp baking soda</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1/2 tsp salt (heaped)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1 stick butter</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1 stick margerine</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
3/4 cup light brown sugar</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1/2 cup sugar</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
2 tsp vanilla</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1 egg</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
12 oz. chocolate chips</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Combine butter, margerine, sugar and brown sugar in a bowl. Blend with a mixer. Add egg and vanilla to mixture and blend with a mixer. Add flour, baking soda and salt--mix slightly with a mixer. Add chocolate chips and mix well with mixer. Place spoonfuls of dough on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Enjoy!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Hopefully this has given you some ideas for the "aftermath of Christmas". Overall, I have decided that the house can wait, but making memories with the kids will last a lifetime. My house does not have to look magazine ready--sometimes the "lived in look" is far more beautiful and makes me realize how truly my nest is blessed. </div>

Of course we are still looking for the perfect location, but in the mean time, we'll just have to stick it out! Our solution? Warm comfy old clothes, some gloves and a pot or two of coffee! I think that we are going to also break out a space heater or two! <br />
<br />
Picture it.... two gals covered from head to toe in paint covered, old clothes--paint brush in one hand and huge cup of coffee in the other. I wish I had a picture to share with you... Trust me when I say, the creative process is not always pretty (just hopefully the end result)! <br />
<br />
We have gotten a bunch of lovely new treasures just waiting for us to get our hands on. I see some painting in our future!<br />

There are, of course, a lot of things that need to work out for that to happen, but we are trusting God to either open or close that door in His perfect time. Please pray along with us! In the meantime, we are getting some fabulous new pieces ready to show you at our upcoming show in downtown Honesdale (Harvest and Heritage Days - Oct. 6th & 7th). This year, instead of our usual "teaser" pictures, we will show you some of the actual pieces available for purchase. Stay tuned...good things come to those who wait!<br />
<br />
P.s. If you're looking for some fun family time to celebrate the upcoming season, our church (Beach Lake Free Methodist) is hosting a Fall Festival on September 30th! This is a FREE event for the ENTIRE family and yes, Stacey and I will be there having fun with our families as well!<br />
